Hotend cooling fan abnormal speed error

i have to replace these a lot. I even had a brand new machine had to replace the fan. I print ASA at 290 and bed at 100. chamber runs around 47.
I print 18 hour prints.
any advice on how to stop this fan failure?

I’m printing ABS, 265 and bed at 95. I’ve had my printer since October.

I’m buying my 3rd fan because 2 have already failed. I basically need to replace my fan every 6 weeks. Loosing prints because this fan keeps dieing is a problem.

I’m also waiting for bambu to respond…

well try at your on risk but I have changed a fan in mid print and saved the print.
I change the bed temp to 0 and the nozzle to 0. wait for the nozzle temp to get below50, i’m not sure the temp when the fan goes off. then cut the filament with the cutter on the head, bring the nozzle down, replace the fan, put back togeather, turn temps back up wait to reach temps, the push start.
i’d sure like to know if you learn anything from Bambu

I ran into this error after replacing the 0.4 mm hardened steel nozzle. It all started with a failed print in which a multicolor print (flexi pizza at 150%) claimed to have completed the print, but failed to continue to deliver any filament through the nozzle starting after 80-ish% of the print layers. Subsequent prints concluded but also failed to emit any filament, including the calibration extrusion. The nozzle was scorched and there was a broken piece of filament stuck in the inlet.

The abnormal speed error happened after my first attempt at replacement of the nozzle, and was due to my improper assembly. I had found that the fan blades were not free to spin because I installed the fan backwards. I learned that the proper assembly has the sticker on the fan upside down and directly facing the heat sink, and the QR code should face forward when installed, as shown in the image below.

The fan should spin freely when gently manipulated, which wasn’t true with the backwards installation. It was a newbie error, but hope this helps someone else. Cheers!

well I am still replacing fans every 4 or 5 days. I tried some electronics cleaner that helps for a couple of days.
I replaced one yesterday and it is bad today. the plug seems to be part of the problem. this is my newest printer and this is the 2nd fan to go bad.
