How do I clear up prints that have smearing?

Hi Everyone!
I’ve been trying to print a file with our logo in it and the black is smearing across the print in various places. It’s just a two colour print with a couple of initial layers in black and the rest in a milky white to form the background. See photo.

I’m printing face down onto a Bambu Textured PEI plate. So the first layers are the logo etc. To save filament and time I’ve added a negative part to the design in the slicer to only print these tests, hence why they’re a strange shape and so small.

I’m using an X1C with a 0.4 nozzle and have reduced the print speeds in various tests (even down to 20mm/s).

The filament is Bambu PLA Black and I tried it with a Bambu Matte Dark Blue and had the same result. All filament has been dried before attempting to print in the Sunlu S4 dryer.

I’ve done a Flow Dynamics Calibration in Bambu Slicer and that gave me a K Factor result of 0.013 for the Bambu Black filament. After appying the new K Factor it did help a little bit, but not enough.

I realise that I could swap to a 0.2mm nozzle but that would make the total time for the print incredibly long as it’s A5 in size. (photos only show a small portion)
I think that covers the various changes and attempts.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I can take screenshots of settings if need be too.
Cheers!

Hi.

Welcome to the forum.

When swapping filament, did you try to flush a larger amount of filament to ensure the nozzle is cleaner?
