How do I delete a "broken" Filament profile from my account?

This has been driving me bonkers because it works for “most” filaments, but I have one profile that refuses to save properly (so I cannot select it from the AMS screen, nor assign it from the Bambu Handy app).

Following the Bambu Wiki “how to add custom filament” refuses to work for this one brand. I have a dozen other profiles, all working perfectly (selectable in the AMS screen, and saved between Orca and Bambu Handy)

Today, I got the idea to save the vendor as a different name… (adding a ‘2’ to the end of the name) and… it worked!

So somehow, my Bambu account has a invalid/broken profile associated with the vendor name?!

I’ve tried a brand new install of Bambu Studio (normally I use Orca), and it shows the new ‘2’ profile.

I’ve tried deleting all references (under al printer profiles) to the original vendor name, logging out, logging back in, but no matter what I do, that original name seems to be cached “somewhere” (likely on my cloud-based Bambu profile).

Short of deleting my Bambu account and starting over, is there any way to delete the invalid/broken filament profile off my account?

I’m not sure I understand if you added a new ‘custom filament’ on the ‘set filaments to use’ cog, or just edited an existing profile:

I think you can just use the X if it was just an edit of an existing.

PS: IIRC if you go to edit an existing and that existing is a stock profile, you can’t save changes under the same name, you have to add a ‘2’ or something that makes the name different.

Again, forgive me if this was the other method of adding a completely newly named custom profile, not sure what could be going on there.

Been there, done that, bought the t-shirt. I’m no stranger to creating filament profiles, been using Orca since the “scarf joints beta” era…This one color/brand has been a thorn in my side for ages, and over the weekend I got stubborn and was keen to solve the problem “once and for all”.

Imagine this, you just installed the slicer on a new computer… you link your profile, and it downloads a bunch of your customizations (filament profiles). But… not the “one you want”… so you try to create it (exactly like in your screenshots). However, that created profile… doesn’t appear in the AMS (nor the Bambu Handy).

So you log out, log in, same result.

You try to re-add it again, and you get a pop-up that the profile name exists “Do you want to overwrite it?”, yes you do…

Same result. So you delete it (using the ‘x’ in your screenshot).

Then you get a bran-wave to re-create it, but with a new/different/unique vendor name - one you’ve never used before (still - exact same process for creating a custom filament profile)… this time, it works correctly! The new filament profile appears in AMS (and Bambu Handy). The ONLY difference was the vendor name.

Since I have a background in software development, I’m familiar with troubleshooting obscure and esoteric issues… and since I installed a BRAND new copy of Bambu Studio (never used it before) and can reproduce the SAME filament profile issue on this one brand on that, it MUST be an issue with my “cloud profile”… but I cannot see the filament profiles or customizations anywhere in my account settings…
