I just got back from a long trip. My printer stopped working while I was gone. I got back did maintenance, updated everything, apps, firmware, studio etc … I cannot get a print to print. Like it’s completely bricked and I get an MTT error but when I go to update, pin code, app connect… Nothing is wrong.
I have had this printer for over a year now and I feel so stupid. How do I print now? I’ve got several orders that are going to miss deadlines on so I’m essentially doing them for free at this point. I just can’t figure out what to do to print.
If you’ve been gone for a while, and updated your firmware, you need to make sure you’re using Bambu Studio direct to your printer. No more home assistant, etc.
Did you mean MQTT? In which case, you upgraded to firmware that disables MQTT support. So it won’t work via that pathway anymore (without great effort?)
Yes MQTT sorry auto correct keeps taking out the q.
I’ve updated everything… It’s still an issue
Hrm, so, do I revert to an older version. I’m so lost. I’m feeling like I’ve never touched a printer before. Like I’ve got to be a huge idiot here and like maybe I shouldn’t be 3d printing.
I’d recommend a factory reset on the device, then go through setting it up as if it were a new printer, using the new documentation. You’ll need to use Bambu Studio and Bambu Connect.
You’re not an idiot, Bambu did the action, it remains a very contentious issue that the company removed support for third party integrations.
Yeah, factory reset isn’t working either. Literally trying to Bambu slicer, App, and all Bambu parts. I don’t understand the issue and have had a ticket in for almost a week now. I have an X1C with 3 AMS units and it’s not working.
I don’t even know what to do. I’m giving up at this point. I hope they offer a solution soon because I’ve spent a lot of money getting this set up. I’ve loved it for a long time and now it just sits there.
I was excited for the H2D and now I don’t even want to spend another penny with the company. I’m not sure what I’ll do. Looking at other options, does any other company offer 12 color options.
There are several open source projects I’ve found and ive built some complex machines before, I can’t imagine it’s all that difficult to put one together, get it programmed, and use it with Orca. I live on Alaska and it’s starting to look like a good winter project.
I have gotten that MQTT error and I don’t understand it what the issue is and it must be a bug because it says to update Bambu Studio or handy app but everything is already updated! It wouldn’t let me print either. I think it’s just a bug side-effect from the new lockdown firmware. Eventually I shut down Bambu Studio and reopen it and it lets me print when I send a print from Bambu Studio.
