How do the levels work? What do they mean?

I’ve reported blatant abuse on mine and others models, sometimes it’s successful but sometimes MW have rejected my report.

So I’m considering adding this with a message to some of my models until the profiles are removed :joy:

Great thought! Hope they do that soon!

The direct message logic needs refinement. I often initiate conversations with new users and was surprised to discover they cannot respond if they are below Level 7. To improve user interaction, the system should allow Level 6 or lower users to reply if a Level 7 or higher user starts the conversation. This change would enhance communication without compromising safety.

I fully agree! That would be a huge improvement!

It would be nice to have some more information from Bambu on this.
Also is there a leader board? I’m LV30 (WTF) but i have been here for over a year and busy designing and downloading.

Happy 2025

I was hoping to send a message to a guy who made a mount with screws. I wanted to download a model and edit it to work with nails but he only uploaded a .3mf. I was going to message him if he would send me an stl or step file I could use but i need to be level 7 to send him a message. I am level 6

First, the model license needs to allow a remix.

If it doesn’t, you can’t do it and you will need to design it from scratch.

If it does allow remixes, open it in Bambu Studio and then right-click and export as an STL.

I shared the public word earlier (above).

Levels aren’t a ranking system, a leaderboard would serve no purpose.

Level 30 is the highest achievable as it stands. It only means you have completed certain processes which when combined give a score, level is the inappropriate phrase as two people achieving different things can have the same level.

Speaking of levels, I noticed this oddball from a thread yesterday. :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Thank you for the information.
I was wondering why i had not seen anyone with a higher level :grinning:
It makes sense now :+1:
Looking forward to the future when the levels have a meaning :crossed_fingers:t2:

Mmmmmmmm
Looks like the age we live in and bot’s will take over the planet  lol

Nothing odd about it. The inverse is possible - a person wiht tons of downloads & prints but low level.

The level is counted based on interactions and downloading & printing IS interaction.

How many likes etc. I have to make that I go a level higher? Someone wrotes me a private message because I wont to help him to improve his tool, but I can’t answer because I only have level 5.

I also posted pictures from my prints and wrote questions and answers for some models I have printed, but my points don’t go higher.

Welcome to the forum! As far as I know this post from Tanklet is the only info we have on that…

I don’t care AT ALL about levels. What I really dislike about them, however, is that I am not allowed to PM (even in response to someone) because my level is below 7! LEVEL 7 JUST TO PM?

Now days you cannot message a creator unless you are level seven.

Yeah, I’m pretty sure he knows that

I wish that was true. I’m only level 5 on MakerWorld and I can’t pm someone back after they sent me a message.

We will allow replying for users lower than level 5 in recent update. Thanks for the feedback.

Is Level 30 the highest? Since achieving this level I have not progressed past it for a long time.

From what I know, yes, it’s the highest.
