I’ve searched the Bambu Handy and Bambu Studio interface for how to turn on drying mode in the AMS 2 Pro but I can’t find it. I thought maybe it’s automatic but if you put the spools in it and don’t feed in the filament, it shows that the AMS is empty and there doesn’t seem to be any activity in the AMS.
Ok, found it on the H2D’s display. Click on the filament symbol and then click on the sun symbol.
How do I turn on the drying feature with a P1S?
Sadly it is not yet possible for the X1 P1P P1S you have to wait until bambu release the over the air update for those printers till then you cannot use it unless the update has been released
How do you turn it on from Bambu Studio on a H2D?
How do you turn it on from the Andriod phone app?
Can it be activated while printing?
I’m curious about this as well.
Front panel of the printer.
So then not from Bambu Studio, I guess. That’s fine. Thanks.
Not seen a software way to enable it.
Just remember that you have to select the type of filament that is in the AMS, don’t think it will let you mix filaments. Then decide if you want to rotate the spools (have to back them out and put in a filament holder or use the holes on the spools) or just dry them as is.
Has anyone in America figured out how to run the dryer while printing? I’m a Polymer Processing Engineer and its literally useless to dry a material and then shut the heat off to print. Hydrophilic polymers will absorb moisture IMMEDIATELY and desiccant alone is not enough for higher grade engineering polymers.
Nope we still cannot dry while printer. There are some other companies that allow it on their ams but not Bambu. My guess is that Bambu doesn’t want to deal with support issues it may cause.
so what I do is I print from a Polydryer.
It is a part of the H2D current beta.
It will allow drying during printing, but depending upon the filament, the temperature might be lowered to prevent thr gears chewing the soft filament.
Just a bit of patience.
If you have another printer than the H2D, it might take a bit longer to arrive.
only via HD display on the water symbol.
hopefully soon via Bambu Studio and App.
