I would like to enable cooling only in the middle of the part and not the edges. I got a decent result using a modifier and assigning a separate filament profile to it (same filament, cooling enabled - see screenshot).
Problem is that the software flushes the filament when changing between the profiles - it thinks they are 2 different filaments. I did set flushing volume to 0, unfortunately the slicer shows that the toolhead will still move to the chute as though for flushing (but won’t actually extrude anything). This unnecessary step increases my print time from 2h to 6h. Is there a way to remove the flushing step completely, ideally without modifying the G-code line by line? Or maybe a better way to do the selective cooling I want?
