Does Re-read mean unload here?
If “Unload” is not there that means that filament you are clicking on is not currently loaded into the hot end.
What maximit said. Also the re-read is just for reading the rfid tag.
It’s so weird. I never seen Un-load option.
ummmmm…
If you hit the “load” button and wait for it to finish, the “unload” buttons will magically appear, I promise. ![]()
But on a more serious note. You should not see “unload” in regular operation of the AMS as all of loading/unloading is done automatically, thats the A in the AMS. The only time you should see it is if you are loading/unloading non AMS compatible filaments like TPU, PA etc from external spool manually or you hit “stop” mid print.
That makes sense. Thanks!!!
So we loaded the TPU and it’s not letting me unload it
If its unloaded but still shows it there: Click Reset on the H2d Screen and then click Confirm.
Ran into this problem with the external spool today. Tried everything else, nothing was working. Power cycled the printer and the Unload button finally showed up.
Same issue. Power cycling did the trick. Thanks for the suggestion.
“The only time you should see it is if you are loading/unloading non AMS compatible filaments” how does this make sense to you? If i want to switch out a type/colour i just don’t get an unload button unless bambu thinks i should?
Ive loved bambu for their intuitive design, but here i am on a forum just to find out something as simple as unloading an unwanted filament from the AMS
Thanks for this. I’m brand new to 3D printers and Bambu and during my first print I got an error saying there was too much resistance in the PTFE tube and I needed to shorten it, but figured it wasn’t safe to just pull it out and that there had to be an unload feature.
The trick was opening the edit menu on the filament bay that needed unload and the option was there.
