I’d like to get some more machines from the P1 series, which have been on offer a lot since the introduction of the H2 series.
However, I’m a bit confused about the different prices.
Because when I see that someone wants $646.00 for a P1S combo system with 800 printing hours,
and then find another seller who wants the same price, but the P1S already has 2,800 printing hours behind it, the hairs on the back of my neck stand up a little.
There’s certainly a loss of value, but I find it very difficult to define exactly what that is.
I don’t want to sell mine, but even if I were, I wouldn’t know how to estimate it.
So I’ve heard some opinions on how you would buy a used machine, for example.
Do you go by printing hours and general condition, as seen in pictures?
Or would you rather ask what accessories are included and ignore the hours worked?
I would really appreciate some feedback on this.

Generally ignore accessories and filaments included. You have some high-end accessories, but they only have value to people who would have chosen them to purchase themselves. Opened filaments have zero value, were you even listing those?
I would second what @krellboy says about accessories and filaments.
Here is the thing with accessories specifically.
There is really one official non-Bambu Labs accessory out there and that is an E3D High Flow ObXidian™ Hotend which is expensive but not a needed part. BL is very tight about 3rd party integration of parts.
There are lots of parts available, some of which have been implicated in P1S printer failures.
Chief among those are BTT Panda ELECTRICAL/ELECTRONIC parts. Mechanical parts not so much of an issue.
I have two brothers who sell merchandise on Ebay. We are in our 60’s and one of my brothers made a good living off of Ebay and he gave me a sort of lesson about Ebay which I have found to be fairly accurate. That lesson is as follows and is because Ebay is an auction site.
1)EVERYTHING has a price.
2)Ebay is a good indicator of somethings value in the market.
3) You should be able to determine the average selling price of a used P1S in your region, including shipping
I just typed in “bambu lab p1s” in the Ebay search text box and got 690 hits. The first page is all printer combos but I expect there will be parts and things like AMS in there that are using P1S as a search tag.
Depending on where you live, use the search filters to define to scope of where you are willing to buy from.
I’m not saying to buy from Ebay necessarily but for me, since I live in the USA I would filter to just pull out printers that are in the USA and read those ads to get a rough estimate of what the printers sell for. I would be skittish about buying a printer from overseas because your recourse is limited
Both my brothers make a tidy profit on shipping costs so you want to be aware of that.
NEGOTIATE THE PRICE!!!
If you know a P1S inside out, that is great. If you don’t, find someone who is, so you can do a thorough inspection before turning over your money.
Ebay ratings a very important.
Based on watching and reading the comments on this forum, there are people that buy these printers that probably don’t know how to change a tire on their automobile so you should not really expect good quality of maintenance from that group out there in the wild.
That can be a double-edged sword because you might find the best deals in that demographic of printer owners.
Person bought it worked on it, now it won’t run at all but may just require returning it to “as-delivered” condition. The flip is that the seller may have taken out their anger on the machine
