How to add .lac file as raw file in a 3D model

Hi!

I am publishing a new design and even though it’s a 3D model, it also has an optional lid that is laser cut, I am trying to add the lac file to the raw files section but it doesn’t allow me to do it

Can you please advise if this is not possible at all @MakerWorld ?

If not can you please consider allowing it? At least for my side I’d be very interested in providing this option for the people that have an H2DL to have the choice to go for either the printed or the laser cut version - again this is just a part, not a full design, so it doesn’t really make sense to me to publish it on the laser section of makerworld

Try adding it inside a zip file, they generally only allow certain files to be uploaded

thanks! that actually works, still not ideal though, LAC is a bambu suite file, it should be added to the “allow list” :slight_smile:

It probably is under the “laser and cut models” section, the website has an entire section for those

Yes, but the point is that it doesn’t make sense to have a post there for a component only, that’s why the request to @MakerWorld to add the possibility of adding it in the 3D side

If i were to take a guess, its probably to try and keep it so people don’t end up with random files they can’t use with their printer which could end up with them leaving a negative review on your profile just because they don’t understand something

Gotta remember the audience that bambu caters to is mostly causal users

is there any way to make the LAC file a file that most people use on other laser cutters ? at least svg
