How to add more walls?

Perhaps I’ve missed something fundamental, but how do I just plain and simply, add more walls to a print?
I’m trying to make a planter waterproof, but no matter what I set the Wall Loops to, it’s only 1.
I wanna say in Simplify3d I would always just add 3 walls, 100% infil, 25-30% infil-outline overlap and call it a day…
Thanks very much!

Start with these:

Are you only looking at the top layer? By default, Bambu Studio only prints one top wall (for neatness), but the rest should be as defined by “Wall Loops”. You can change this if you wish further down the Strength panel @ Advanced => “Only one wall on top surfaces”.

I’ll have to try that, changing wall loops didn’t help. tyvm!

I did not have the same issue, but google popped this article and your screen shots helped a complete noob, you are a life saver, thank you!

Did you find how to add more walls? I need to know, thank you

Welcome to the forum.

If you look at the second post by @lkraus it has a picture of the “wall loops” which is circled in red. To increase walls add to that number.

In general, when you are looking for a setting, use the Search feature:

Then start typing key words:

Click on a likely result and Studio will take you to the correct menu item.

As @JonRaymond said, “wall loops” is what you need to adjust, but I have to say that as a new user, the meaning of “loops” was not as obvious as something like “top layers”. It would never have occurred to me to search for “loops”.

Also for the record 3d prints will inherently never be truly waterproof unless you use vase mode or do some post processing to seal the micro-holes left by the process of starting and stopping seams. It’s part of why prints really cannot be food safe, but it also affects vases “weeping” if not printed in vase mode (which of course is by design just 1 wall).

thanks for te answers
For me it doesn’t work, I can add 3 wall loops or 10 which is the same, it still only makes two walls…

What are you trying to print? It’s probably only allowing two walls as when printed they equate to the thickness of the walls in the model design.

ohh The error was that the file was not thick enough. Thanks! have a good day !
