How to add textures besides fuzzy skin

How do model makers do things like dragon scale and such? I thought maybe by using SVG files, and that seems maybe possible, but it has not beeing going well so far.

I had thought they added those textures while modeling, not in the slicer. At least, that’s how I’ve done it previously

one way is to painted the details on the surface as a alpha bump map brush. most tools have options , just learning is the thing. z-brush, blender, fusion. some can do a better job than others.

I think the original poster was looking for other textures that (just like fuzzy skin or ironing) can be applied in one click directly on the slicer

That ‘textures’ are called displacement mapping and funny enough there’s a PR in Orca slicer to add them: Implement 'fuzzy skin' displacement mapping by undingen · Pull Request #7985 · SoftFever/OrcaSlicer · GitHub
