How to change fill density for part of a print in Bambu Slicer?

I have a print that uses a rod that goes into a bearing. The rod keeps breaking. What I need is to increase the density for that portion of the print only. I do not want to change the density of the entire print, only the rod. Is there a way to do this?

I answered a similar question by telling the poster to use “modifiers” to adjust the affected part of the model. However, someone else recommended cutting the part and then adjusting the specific part separately.
