How to delete supports

Hi all, I’ll keep it short, I’m still newer at using the Bambu Lab software, but I have tried everything found online, and still cannot resolve this issue.

I am hoping to delete the supports you see for the mesh around the logo, as you can see, the angle of the mesh walls (diamonds) do not require supports. I have used the paint bucket to highlight areas to be included, and even tried painting the areas to be excluded manually, the only solution I have read is to switch from default support style to snug. Unfortunately, the snug support style lacks adequate support for the side walls of my part. I was alternatively considering going line by line, layer by layer and editing the G-code which would be very time intensive to do at each iteration of the design, but I don’t even see this as a possibility with the bambu-lab software. Please let me know if you have any possible suggestions, thanks.

Welcome to the forum.

It looks like you’ve tried painting support blocker. That is what I would have suggested.

If you can upload the .3mf file?

I was not able to upload this specific 3MF due to size, but I have uploaded a similar design on makerworld:

This 3MF may have been set to snug, which you may have to convert back to default.

Please let me know if that works, if not I can upload one with all the additional changes.

Thanks.

I can’t say I’m able to replicate?

you maybe globally set to snug support style, please see if you’re set to normal manual & default both globally and for the part object itself as I have a modifier for that 3MF. I will also temporarily upload this design on that page, it should be up on makerworld in a few minutes, thank you. The goal is to set the side profiles to 55 degrees of support, while supporting the logo, but not the mesh.

I have uploaded the design as a new print profile on makerworld.

By changing Snug support to Default on the object I was able to replicate.

To fix the issue lower the “Base pattern spacing” to 1.

ok wow, that worked, still not sure why the base pattern spacing influences the addition of unexpected supports. Any ideas? Thanks a lot btw, this was a small annoyance for post processing of the part, but more than anything, those small independent support outlines on the first layer sometimes have adhesion problems and removing them all together takes away any possible issues with the initial layer setup.

What you are seeing is the brim around the center support. This is why the support block doesn’t seem to work.

Got it, I knew it was somehow registering the logo overhangs as it was exclusively effecting that region. Thanks again.
