No? Just uncheck “Flow Calibration” when you start the print from the printer so it doesn’t run it. It’s a small check box on the bottom right side.
I’m on the latest software and the suggestions in this article to disable the Flow Calibration is not working. I do agree with others BUT not for the reasons given. This takes away significant space for my prints ALSO every so often I try to use a larger portion of the plate. On these jobs I want to invade the space that this calibration happens in. Please note that this has ruined dozens of prints so far. I don’t believe that flow calibration is needed for every job especially if you do many prints a day. I’ve done 5 jobs today. If Bambu Labs knows how often it requires calibration to be completed and offer that up as a separate job or part of your job with a pause between or simply turn it off and offer it as a separate job or somehow integrate this work into your job by printing brims outside one of your objects. IOW: Finding the space to do. In some cases I have room to the left of my job behind my job or to the right side. Either way I believe there are plenty of ideas to get the job done without 1) Constantly wasting precious print time 2) OR being in the way of my job.
I think part of the issue is that they put this functionality in the printer when it should be in the software. Some gcode that is embedded in the printer and the printer can see the thickness of these lines when printing at various speeds. I think the logic could be changed just a bit to integrate the work into your job. 1) Start flow analysis 2) do unique shape sent by application 3) Stop flow analysis. I believe the only requirement is the job would have to be a specific length and during this time the speed of the head etc would be controlled by the printer instead of anything sent to the printer. Only the software could control the path.
I think it doesn’t calculate it since that part of the job is owned by the printer.
YES. This should absolutely be an option in the slicer settings to disable calibration. Its not needed 4 out of 5 prints for most people. I could see bambu being hesitant to add it because their number of support tickets may go up. That said they should still add it. Especially when trouble shooting new filaments and things adding this feature would be a major ecosystem quality of life upgrade.
