I do not have a 3d printer, how do i get reward points if i cant show printable evidince? I cannot do makes, and also i cant make models, only with models i have pre 3d printed.
Hello - the primary way to earn points is to design and share models that other users will want to print. In order to post items, you will need to be able to print them - this ensures that the model has been tested and confirms that it can be printed successfully.
Sometimes, libraries will have 3D printers that you can use if you don’t have your own.
I don’t get your point here, sorry…
The whole purpose of Makerworld is to provide models and print profiles.
You might get some points if are good and active in the forum, rate print profiles or such but I guess you are after a more direct way to get freebies without doing anything really.
If you ARE after points consider getting a 3D printer and to learn how to design models.
If you are any good at the later or even if your models just find enough attraction you can earn a lot of point in no time at all.
On the other side, if all you are after is freebies you could check certain sites that offer rewards for reviews.
Quite often their standards are rather low and it is enough to leave some nice feedback on models you like with no requirement to print anything.
You get points by being active in the forum?
Nope, he gave Maro some false information… and Maro believed it and immediately began spamming the forum in his quest to get a free printer.
Not my motive, just bored and confused why my comments are all getting flagged…
Because they didn’t add anything to the discussion and had no point. A post that was 3 above yours literally had an A1 with the mod.
Well to tell us you don’t own a 3d printer and then to start bumping threads with your opinion about Bambu’s software and telling people that lines on their prints are normal seems like spam.
But nothing you do on the forum earns points on MakerWorld.
Basically I have am waiting to ask my dad to turn all my money into credit card money (since I do not have a card) and buy a printer with it, and the reason why I am saving up points is in case he says no and I also have made a bunch of files with the software. Waiting to be printed, the whole I have a printer thing is a lie
And I have no idea why lines are on some prints, just are I guess.
Then why say it looks normal? People don’t appreciate spam posts. Also if you have enough money saved up then just go to a store like best buy or Microcenter and buy one. (if you are in the US)
But the only software Bambu has is a slicer… and while you can create very basic things with a slicer you can do much more with CAD software. Look in to Tinkercad, it’s free and you can do it online without installing anything.
About your dad’s money… if he says no have you thought about cutting grass or something similar to save up?
I have chickens and I sell eggs to earn money, I have enough for a printer but haven’t told him yet since I am scared he will say no, You ever gotten that feeling when you were little?
I also have used tinkercad to combine objects since Bambu studio doesn’t let me for some reason.
And what I mean is bambu studio is simple, user friendly, not the greatest.
It’s not really possible to get that many points without a printer, why don’t you just ask him? How much do you have saved up and what printer do you want to get?
A1 combo, I already asked him but he didn’t really say yes or no, it was more like “I’ll think about it”
I did, but when I was little it was toys like G.I. Joe, He-man and the Transformers… and I heard a lot of “nos”. I commend you for selling eggs to raise money… and right now they are as good as gold lol.
Just let you dad know that 3D printing is educational and it’s a skill you can use your whole life.
Okay, thanks for the advice.
BTW just know that if you print a lot then you will probably end up spending a large amount on filament.
I have a 3d pen and have some filament from that, not a lifetime supply though, barely a spool!
Yeah it becomes kinda an addiction. I got my printer about 4 months ago and have already spent around 1/2 the price of the printer on filament.
