How to get rid of Text and color on the MV models?

Thanks,
It is not related to you or your model. If you read the whole tread, you will realized that i was not complaining about you.

And here is my reply to @MalcTheOracle about it. We post at the same time that you might not seen it.

No worries at all, no offense taken! It seems like quite a few threads went off-topic today.

You keep repeating these.

Rude:
I worked in a global company until i retired and I was in contact with people from 53 nationalities. I can assure you that there is no single word or a phrase that is not considered offensive in at least 10 of them. When on internet there is no way to not offend some people with the words you use without know who will read it. Especially in a language you are not native to. I guess you are Australian. You know; many of your local words and behaviors are considered rude at best in US and England. Are you indeed rude? No.

But I get your point.

Demanding: I do not agree with this. I am not demanding anything. I trying to find a solution.

On the other hand, I know you have been complaining in other threads about some members misbehaving, unfair ratings, stealling models etc. There is a serious quality issue in MW. The reason we can not agree is; we are thinking of two different group of people. If you realized i kept using the term “modeler” instead of “designer”. You think of the old school “designers” but i think of the other bunch. I came across some users who had 100s of uploaded models but they do not bothered to upload a single profile for them. Many of their models are (slightly) remakes of already existing models by someone else. With those “modellers” in MW, MW looks like Aliexpress version of Thingiverse or Printables. These should be weeded out and Ratings could be a way to do it, but the way it works now is useless. I mentioned above. Some one who uploaded a cute kitty to Makerslab and made a bookmark, receives absolute 5 stars because the kitty is cute. But you, who spend time for designing and testing can not. Ratings might be intended for profiles but most people do not rate base on profiles. I also mentioned above, once you need to change a single parameter it is not the downloaded profile anymore but MW insists you to rate. It might might be a bug; it asked me to rate one of my own designs I printed via Orcaslicer (not even uploaded to MW).

If BL/MW going to award with credits, gift cards etc there should be a minimum quality standard for the uploads as well. Not just a photo and successful print record. I use Bigu Frosbite plate. I set it as Smooth PEI (before Bambu Supertack) as BS do not want to print PETG with Cool plate and Smooth PEI slot was vacant. Also i did not want to tweak all my filament profiles to make it cool plate. I only used mouse ears in a few times for my 230x230mm models to avoid warping. Never used brims once. Assume that i uploaded with that profile, how many people should have ruined prints before MW enforce me to remove my profile. You keep calling disrespectful to modelers what about disrespectfulness to downloaders. They will spend time and money for prints destined to fail. Or end up printing the model that says “I love you Helga” because the kitty was cute and his wife Christine goes WTF.
And you expect me to give “participation trophy” to everyone of them?

You can see that i am not referring to the designers in your mind. I am sure you feel the same about all these.

It doesn’t make it wrong.

As I said before, this isn’t a language thing.

I am referring to whomever provides the work you have been discussing, I am not term-specific.

You said you were not rude and then decided to rant about the quality of work others provide on their design journey.

The user chooses what they download, no one forces them.

I do not believe my work is better than someone else’s because I put lots of time and effort into each one, with many prototypes until I am happy.

A bookmark solves a problem and who am I to dismiss it because you do not like or value it?

Why? Again, the users decide how many times it is downloaded by actually downloading it, if enough people download it, why not reward them equally to anyone else?

If I wanted to earn more for my work, I could charge money for it, MW isn’t that sort of site for a reason, there are many of those, maybe use those and not MW.

The rating is there to indicate if the model will not print correctly.

We all receive participation trophies as we all participate. Contests give out awards, good news for you, those early on their journey of creation rarely get a prize.

I am not sure what this was meant to say, but you may be annoyed that some “modellers” haven’t considered your build plate which means you need to tweak something. You gained something for free and are ungrateful you must tailor it to your printing setup.

You are discussing the person who provides the work for free.

I do not, if I find something beneficial to me, I do not care if the person had just started learning or was an expert, the thing I needed solved was solved.

That will always happen, risk is part of the process. You will find designers you trust and there will be new ones you have never experienced. As the consumer, you are tasked with research before you start something. Read the comments and ratings, see how many downloads vs prints, how long since it was uploaded, and how many other related models have they provided.

I have only ever been caught out a couple of times. If you do, report them as there is a process for that.

I did not say the profiles do not fit my plate type. Let me try to rephrase,

Assume that I have uploaded some of my designs to MV. Although I use Frostbite, similar to Supertack, my profiles will say Smooth PEI. If the downloader tries to print with my profile on a Smooth PEI without brims and supports their prints will most probably topple midway.
And my question was, how many 1 star i should get that before MV realize that there is something wrong with my profile and asked me to remove it?
