How to modify/repair the hinge on this rugged box

I just made my own variation on the rugged gridfinity case.

This is the first complete print (matte PLA). Happy of the result, but the back hinge broke when I installed the screw. I am not surprised, it’s quite thin.

I am interested on suggestion to salvage this. Should I cut the hinge on the main body and glue back in place a new version? should I just scrap it and reprint a new version (sad for the 300g wasted) or something else.

The original rugged box did not use a nut like you have in your version.

The first hole it went into is meant to be slightly larger than the screw so it slides in, the same with the hinge on the top part, the furthest hole is the one that is tighter so the crew cuts its thread into that.

It does not need a nut.

I know, because I printed yet another one yesterday.
