How to move head of P1S to a certain position with a specific speed?

My Bambu Lab P1S makes a scratching noise during printing. Doing some research, I found that it could be one of the idler pulleys.

However, I cannot replicate the noise without printing. Moving the printhead using Bambu Handy / Studio / Screen is far too slow and I can only do it in steps, which is not enough to replicate the problem.

On a classic 3D printer, I can just set a speed to move the head a certain distance using G-Code sent via octoprint. Can I do something similar on my P1S to help me diagnose the problem?

Thanks!

You might try turning off the power and moving the belts by hand.

Is it a scratching noise while printing infill perhaps? Crossing infill like Grid will have a scratching noise as the nozzle impacts the print at the cross over points. If you change the print to use gyroid infill does the noise go away?

If the issue isn’t the infill pattern and you still want to test as you have requested I would suggest manually editing the Manual tramming gcode file found here. Load the file on to the SD card and run it.

Navigate to IDLER PULLEY section

Note: Do NOT lube the belt, slippery belt can cause step skipping

I tried that, but unfortunately, it is not fast enough to replicate the noise due to the motor drag.

The noise also comes up during bed leveling when moving fast between points. I’ll try your suggestion with the code file, thanks! A bit disappointed that I can’t just send GCODE like with my other printers, but that’s the downside of a closed system like this.
