Hey All,
I have a P2S with an AMS HT. I know how to pause the print, but how do I do that and then be able to swap out the filament? When I pause the print, I am unable to unload the AMS HT via the onscreen menu, I can only resume the print. Thanks in advance for your help!
Pete
Have you tried the button that’s just below the filament inlet in the HT? Lift up the spool and you’ll see it. Don’t forget to manually actuate the filament cutter first.
Hi there,
I am aware of that button, but the filament is melted into the nozzle…but I supposed manually activating the cutter on the nozzle would solve this…interesting…never thought that was an option, I figured it was a software selection.
Wouldn’t this then be an issue because the old color wouldn’t be purged?
I’ve done so many searches and can’t seem to find an answer to this question…
I have had this issue off and on and various fixes to resolve can be frustrating and inconsistent depending on the mood of the printer that day. Sometimes just spamming the load/unload, other times I’ve had to turn the printer off. I simply avoid the issue by making sure that when a spool is low I place another full one in the AMS so it automatically continues on the new roll. Never had an issue since (and the benefit of not having to wake up bleary eyed at 2am to 4am to change the roll - by far the most popular time for filament to run out).
This is an HT, single spool.
Have you tried selecting the filament change option in the print preview window. On the right slider, I can right click and it has an option. Select the layer you want to change at and insert the change command there. I don’t know if that is true with a single color HT option or not.
