In BambuStudio, I have 3 objects on my plate and 3 different colored spools in my AMS.
Is there an easier way to choose to paint different objects, different colors then painting each one a different color?
What I want is the first object one entire color, like object 1 is all red. Not red on the outside and some other color as the infill.
Object 2 should be Blue thru and thru.
I’m not trying to mix 2 colors on the same object.
What I tried:
I tried the fill tool with Edge detection unchecked but it still leaves some tiny parts in a different colors.
What am I missing?
Maybe a flood fill, or a button to say this object gets this spool.
And yes I know when you send to print is where you associate the actual spool with the color in the paint area.
And while I’m asking things, if I paint the outside of an object a color, how does BambuStudio figure out what color to make the infill if I have different spools?
The wiki although great, wasn’t helpful in this instance.
Thanks for any and all help.
@EnoTheThracian You are the best!
Yes, I saw the Print-by-object but I completely missed the Object List.
So by clicking on the 1 in the Fila. column I’m able to select the spool/color to use. Bam! The entire thing is colored.
This is a game changer for sure.
I just got my printer last week and I’ve been reading watching every video I can.
Thank you so much.
Edit: In case anyone trips over this thread, here’s a wealth of information on printing models by 3D Revolution:
It’s super easy to specify which filament you want to use without painting. Just select the object, right click it, and all the way at the bottom of the context menu that pops up is a “change filament” menu. It pulls from the filaments configured in the filament window on the left-side navigation pane. Once you select a filament through that “change filament” right-click menu, it will set that entire part to use that filament. You can do these for each separate object on the build plate.
