Hello,
does anyone have the perfect settings for printing small, fine 3D models (for example, 5 cm high toy figures)?
With many pointy parts, and also overhangs.
Have been trying for 2 days and something keeps going wrong…
Thanks for your help.

It is a challenge, but I am getting pretty good results using a .2 nozzle with a layer height of .05-.08, Arachne walls and very slow speeds (30-50 mm/s). A big part of getting good miniatures and action figures is how you orient the model on the bed. I usually cut up my models, add pegs and voids where possible so I can attach them more securely, and try to avoid using supports whenever possible, especially on the face.
My goal is to airbrush them later, so I am also learning how to do that. Compared to learning how to paint well, 3D Printing is a breeze.
Wow, these are already very good tips.
I hope my question is not too bold, but could you give me photos or screenshots of your settings?
Quality, strength, speed, support and others?
I am printing multicolor with the “Bambu Lab X1 Carbon” because I need to test if the color change works with my settings.
And so a print can take a whole day …
I could save myself time by trying out your settings directly.
I will buy me best also a fine Nozzle.
Currently print with the standard Nozzle (0.4)
Thank you very much
Maybe post picture, it is always helpfull to understand problem
I’m still a newbie myself so I am still in the process of fine tuning all my settings. Below are the settings that seem to work well for printing heads arms and feet. I also use these settings if I print the model whole because cutting is not possible/advisable.

This next window is for the filament…
That’s really super nice of you!
Thank you very much.
I will save the images and when the current print is ready (still takes some time ^^) then I will try your settings.
I also just ordered the “Complete Hotend Assembly - X1 Series” with a 0.2 Nozzle.
Will hopefully arrive in the next 2 to 4 days.
I will report and send photos.
Thanks again.
I have adopted all your settings.
It is impressive how much thought you have put into it.
You have adjusted a lot of settings.
For most of the settings, I don’t even know what exactly they mean.
I’m just going to try it out.
However, I do not have 0.2 nozzle, but only the 0.4 nozzle.
I am looking forward to it.
Actually, I have put a lot of “filament” into it.
The only place I find that .02 is much better than .04 is in the face area, especially the eyes, lips and nose. Depending on the hair, .02 can also help there as well.
You may not end up liking your results depending on the models you are printing. What I have done a lot is cut the model that has the most detail and then clone it a few times and apply different settings to each item and compare them.
that is great, thank you so much
