Hi guys.
I’m trying to print with LW-PLA and I noticed, that the head always does a small circle before moving to another start point. Most likely to “rip” it off from the extruded material. This may help, if printing with other materials, but due to the nature of LW-PLA it foams out and creates small parts of unwanted material on the layer.
I tried to find a setting to remove this, but had no luck.
Anyone here knows hot to remove that behaviour?
It should be removed when you turn off retraction, but it seems like it’s a bug that it’s not.
It DOES turn that off, when I turned off retraction. I didn’t know, this is depending on each other.
Thanks!
Your help is greatly appreciated.
So I did some adjustments in speed and others, still no g-code editing, and now my banchy looks like this.
A great improvement in my opinion.
Thanks mate!
Printer profile under extruder retraction z-hop type = SpiralLift is what creates the small circles. In the SoftFever fork anyway.
@froboz I have no such setting in my printer profile, although I enabled advanced settings.
I checked and it is a SoftFever fork addition. I don’t have the stock version installed to easily check. Anyone have any reason to not use the SoftFever fork?
I guess I got your first comment wrong.
I’m using the regular BS software. No third party addons/tools.
That looks very similar to my LW-PLA Benchy. Happy to see others having success too
