How/where: Start Laser/Cut processes from USB drive

Hi Bambu Suite users
The process to send 3d-print files to the printer from bambu studio is straightforward. The cutting/plotting process, on the other hand, is more complicated. I currently have to switch back and forth between printer and computer several times (computer: design/prepare project → printer: switch on, calibrate for cutting → computer: send project from PC → printer: place vinyl foils/paper on plate, start job with button). As my computer is not on the same floor, this is not very convenient.

But there is a solution: According to the new firmware (see H2D firmware release history | Bambu Lab Wiki) it should be possible to send projects from Bambu Suite to the USB memory and execute them from there. I was pleased about this update.

Unfortunately, I did not find this function in Bambu Suite. How exactly can I send the project file to the usb drive of the printer without directly starting the cutting/plotting process? Or have I misunderstood this?

Thank you for your explanations and tips

  2. File
  3. Export
  4. Export .gcode.lac to your USB flash drive
