This works brilliantly if I start with petg and switch to pla, but when I get to layer 3 and it switches back to petg it fails to stick to the pla layer. If I start with pla as layer 1 then layer 2 will fail so my problem is the transition from pla to petg, not the other way around. I am using the generic pla profile along with the bambu petg profile which matches my filaments.
Others appear to have done this, any idea what I should be trying to get the petg to stick sufficiently to the pla?
I havent done this with alternating materials, but on my X1C with some stacked prints in PLA, I found better results when adding a layer modifier for each new stack’s first layer, and slowing the speeds down a bit to match first layer speeds. Seemed to increase the stacked items consistency and reduce the occasional stringing across some of the bigger wall gaps,
how you switch between the filaments?
do you add manual filament switches between the Layers?
what you try is stack many Object vertical together and on the end you want release it easy to get disassembled objects, or?
Thanks, I adopted your settings but still couldnt get the [bambu petg basic] to stick so I tried some kingroon petg from amazon. This has worked and seems happier sticking to pla.
I am now undecided on layering the prints but at least I have a workable option.
