One of my model, in last two days is getting a huge amount of views and I’m not sure it’s a makerworld bug, or someone is running scripts or other things.
But, the numbers are quite evident that something is not right.
Until two days ago, my model had 200-300 views per day.
In the last two days, it got 54000 and 92000 views per day.
Anybody else saw this happening ?
I see it has the “featured model” badge. Did it have that before the traffic spike? If it just got it I would say it’s probably been on the MW homepage and that shot the numbers up.
This is the complete history of the model.
I had other models featured, winning contests also, but never seen such spike. Something must be wrong.
This model had in the first days also 140k views on reddit, and still didn’t had more than 6k views on makerworld.
90k views and 9 downloads? Definitely seems like a bug or error.
yes, but i’m thinking this statistic could influence the makerworld “algorithm” regarding the “quality” of the model, If viewer - download rate is so low after this “error”.
I don’t know the logic behind makerworld, but in my opinion this could mean something to how good a model is or is not.

Yeah seems like a bug, there’s no way you got only 9 downloads on 92k views.

Well with the way MW works once they figure it out they’ll ban you and accuse you of cheating. 
No answer from Makerworld?
i wonder if he’s getting the same 88k web spiders coming in every day thru some well-genericized search term

yep, no answer yet… this could be a strange problem. Not even sure is a bug on makerworld, or somebody is just spamming for fun
