I just noticed that one of my designs has the “Featured Model” icon on it. I don’t know anything about featured models though. Are they actually featured somewhere else? Seems pretty cool though. I don’t think I’ve seen many with that icon, but I’ll admit I haven’t really paid attention much to all the icons on various models.

Nice.
I usually see featured models on the front page of Makerworld.com, or in Bambu Studio. They tend to have a selection of rotating models that are actively featured, but past models still retain the badge. Although, I think the exclusive badge will obscure the featured badge.
If you go to the front page of Makerworld and refresh it, eventually you’ll see your model come up

It is annoying they don’t bother telling you, it is left up to you to realise.
It took me realising the points were increasing very often.
You can also get featured in featured collections, which is not the same as featured-proper. I only found out because I looked in the featured collections to find each of mine.
The Featured icon has been removed from the model photo because they can’t figure out how to stack icons (their excuse). They forgot that they do this for Exclusive and MakerSupply.

Thanks! Yeah I’m surprised too that there wasn’t a notification. I assume that with the featured collection and featured models that it’s decided on by an actual Bambu employee and not automated or based on downloads or likes?

If that’s featured, what’s this? I’ve been on it twice that I know of, and I do know that it was staff-chosen at least one of those times.
I think it’s just a combo of everything. Featured, Exclusive, Trending.

That is a really great write up on your model! I see why they featured it. It is a great example of what a design description should like.
I had my latest collapsible saber featured for a while before the exclusive tag wiped out the feature tag. It has a very unique locking mechanism that others seem to enjoy.

Lovely model and description write up. I am surprised a gun related model was featured, considering how quickly you can get banned here for models in that genre. Do you know if your model is available to the CN market?
