I love that others also concluded in multiple places a discount should be given. Personally I think the discount should be 20% for the x1c and 10% for the p1s. It sounds like a lot, but the 20% drops the price from $1,500 to $1,200 and the other from $1k to $900.
This makes it where the company makes far more money than people sticking with the A1, it gives them time to fix things, and it makes us happy and give them great press which drives even more sells to them.
Like some say it kills the A1, but keep in mind some will stick to it and this should only apply to those who already owns one.
The company would get the old one back, fix it up where the problem is fixed, and sell them on discount making them a chunk or money on that too.
The question is also about parts since many bought a good amount for the A1. We’ll anything unopened should be refunded along with the printer or whatever. And anything like nozzels which likely is the only thing opened should be half off. During the resell included the open nozzels and mark the unit as used. And have the new price covering any loss from this. This again making the company a ton of money.
Personally I wouldn’t expect a discount on x1c. Completely different price point printer. I wouldn’t take advantage of it if they offered because I never intended to spend that much originally.
I dont think getting a P1P/S at black friday pricing is unreasonable. Along with free shipping.
I agree on parts, refund on anything unopened or opened nozzles.
I think the discount for the x1c would happen because it’s a chance to make a sell they otherwise would’ve not been able to make. Like you have it where people like me where if your already jumping from the A1 to another, and if the price was lower a little. Then why not?
Like assuming if they go for the 20% and 10%. That Is a $300 difference. Where most are saying since you can add a touch screen and what not to rhe p1s. A $500 for basically just lidar and spegetti detection is too much. Even more since it is likely the spegetti detection will come to the p1s as air printing detection (what whatever they call it on the A1 beta).
Like at the end of the day bambu labs is a company, and all of this does push people to spend more money they otherwise wouldn’t. And they could turn a disaster like this a1 mess to something extremely profitable and turn it around to have great pr.
p1p is currently on sale for 16% just slightly higher than the A1+AMS, if you want to upgrade it with ams and upgrade kit after youre looking at paying as much as an X1Carbon total with the upgrades…
