I just ordered my Bambu X1C and while waiting for it to be delivered i also want to order some filament so i can start to print functional parts right away.
For the moment i am planning to print lots of ikea pegboard accessories to organise my workbench, what filament material do you guys suggest, preferably bambu filament? black colour or grey is what i prefer
Alternatively, I would go with ABS. It is slightly cheaper (about 6%) than ABS-GF but may not look so good, which may be relevant for pegboard accessories.
In my opinion, you can also succeed with either PLA or PETG. However, the spool price is identical to ABS, which entails technical specs that are better suited for the purpose.
I’ve been using PETG (Polymaker PolyMax) for all of the hooks on my IKEA SKÅDIS boards. Haven’t had any trouble with these hooks holding objects up to ~2.5 lbs.
If you’re planning on hanging heavy objects and/or want to secure the bottom of the board to the wall, ditch the included hardware and use these instead with the anchors of your choice.
I’ve printed all my Skadis things with PLA with no issues, I even have a Valve Index hanging on those PLA hooks since years ago. The only thing to worry about is the layer orientation in my opinion, which is why I design everything to print the hooks flat.
