Images to STL

I need some help trying to make an image into a STL. How do you all do it? Any and all help would be great. I would prefer if I could print in multiple colors with the AMS but understand if that is not possible. The ones that I have seen have cost money or arent the best. Just wondering if any of you have done something like that.

Normally I would suggest Googling it as there is a plethora of resources for this. That being said, Bambu has recently released a new ā€œMake my Signā€ feature that might do exactly what you want to do. Try it out and see if it works for you.

You cant turn an image to an STL, but you can turn an image in to vector graphics(2d) then turn those vector graphics(2d) in to an stl(3d).

Depending on how complex image, you might get away with just googling image to vector converter then upload those vectors in to fusion 360.

Depending what you want to do, there are many online converter to convert PNG / JPEG images to STL/OBJ/3MF. Just google it. I’ve used it more than once to convert Logos or QR-Codes from black-and-white-pictures into an STL file, which I could import into the CAD program.

Convert the image to svg with any of the free online image converters. https://image.online-convert.com/ works well.
Then import the svg into tinkercad, where you can change the size etc. to what you want and export as stl.

Have you tried Cura, you just open an image then rotate/scale etc as you need to then export it as a STL. It obviously won’t do colour but it is works well for lithophane prints

Try Google, google is your friend

Don’t we have hueforge section - or is that different from what you want ?

In case it is and your goal is to transform something a logo into STL:
I am old school, thanks to that I still have a working version of Vector Magic.
In there I can quickly convert something like a logo into a multi-colour vector file.
Usually I import into Sketchup (yes I know but I am an old fart…) to customise things a bit, like putting it into a frame to have a single colour bottom or a nice rim around the lot…

I would suggest not joining forums if your response is going to be ā€œjust Google itā€.

The point of forums is to get an individual(ā€˜s) personal experience with whatever the thread topic is. Have you even considered that they might be here because they googled it and didn’t find the answer they’re looking for? No? I doubt it.

Sorry OP I wish I had the answer, as I also am here because I googled it.

While there are programs like hueforge which is amazing, there aren’t many GOOD image to stl that don’t produce unprintable garbage. But with ai I’m sure they’re coming rapidly (luma ai maybe? Best text to 3d I’ve found I think so far)

Hey guys,
i just found this forum because I was having issues trying to make a logo image into3D model. if anyone is still looing for info, i found this site that let me go from a Jpeg to STL. I hope this helps!
https:// imagetostl . com

For a logo I would just vectorise the image, load into a editing program and extrude it to the required thickness.
If need in multicolour…
For actual images, especially showing something three-dimensional it will be a while until AI is good enough for the job.

Using that site doesn’t work. I just need a logo template for a project, I have some results on other sites, but its like they know what you want but refuse lol.

Luma AI? is that a annual service program? I will look it up so thanks.

I have vector art files of logo’s But as Christmas gifts to my clients I want to 3D print their logos for them as gifts so I am having difficulty trying to import or convert the files so that a #D print file can be rendered and or printed?

OK great I will check it out! Was it fairly simple?
