Increasing purge amount and slowing down purge speed on p1s and x1?

I’m looking to increase purge flow rate to a very high amount and slow down the speed of said purge. It has come to my attention purging large amounts of filament would likely decrease clogged nozzle issues, which I am having annoyances with because of switching around vastly different materials. Markforged runs a hefty purge cycle ahead of any new print and I’m starting to like this strategy. I understand markforged printers utilize a lot of hygroscopic materials, so they have to do hefty purge, but still think its a valuable feature to add. Can anyone direct me how to do this or the resources to figure it out?

When asking for help, please provide as much information as possible about your inquiry.
Including pictures and detailed information about the print speeds, filament type and settings used will help get the appropriate solutions.

I’m assuming you have already adjusted the flushing volume between the filaments to the max?

Slowing down the speed you need to get more into the weeds and change the feed rate gcode in the Printer settings.

Be aware that clogging between vastly different materials may be more of a heat creep issue than a material purge issue.

What do you mean by heat creep?

Thanks btw. very helpful. i have not adjusted the flushing volumes but am doing so now.
