Infill Combination ignores Extruder Max layer height

I noticed that whenever I try to print something with Infill combination turned on, the prints turn out terrible. Top surface usually uneven and prints are not as strong.

It turns out that Infill combination setting ignores the max layer height limit of the extruder and attempts to print 0.4mm layers?! Is there a different setting which would allow me to limit the infill layer height? …or is this an oversight/bug in the slicer?

Did I miss something ?

For a 0.4mm nozzle anything above 0.25 is a problem, above 0.3 a recipe for disaster.
If you know you use 0.2mm layer heights for your print, why do you activate the combine infill box ?
Combined infill is something for layers heights of 0.12 and below…

Yes, you did miss something. I’m printing at 0.08mm layers. I have set the max layer height for this nozzle at 0.2mm, yet slicer still created layers of 0.4mm, ignoring the max layer height limit.

I see that this issue was already brought up for OrcaSlicer:

:crossed_fingers:t2: Hope it will be implemented at some point.

Yes, please add setting “Combine infill every X layers” instread of “Infill Combination”.

Bambu Studio prints infill every 5 layers with 0.08 mm wall layer and that is too much for 0.4 mm nozzle.
