IR laser would allow us to mark our 3d prints

The best laser for marking 3d prints seems to be an IR laser even at 2w. This would’ve been the game changer. I understand wanted to expand their revenues with selling material, but most people wont touch it because of the mess it creates.

They won’t confirm obviously, but given their choice of shielding door and glasses, I think it’s safe to assume they were thinking about it.

You could just add lettering and make them negative parts

Yes you can. But it doesnt have a polished look as an etched or marked print.
