Hi all, it seems that Ironing stops ironing halfway (see pictures).
These are my settings for ironing,
Ironing type - Topmost surface only
Ironing pattern - Rectilinear
Ironing speed - 65
Ironing flow - 23
Ironing line spacing - 0.15
Ironing direction - 45
What can/should I do to solve this ?
I’m running into this also. Playing with settings to try to figure it out.
Helps if you slow down the top layers. They’ll be more consistent. I’m running internal solid infill @ 150 mm/s and Top surface @ 125 mm/s. Ironing at 50 mm/s and flow at 25% and am seeing much more consistent and improved results. Still dialing it in, but so far so good.
Some more tuning with my prints. Internal solid infill still @ 150 mm/s. Top surface down to 100 mm/s, top surface acceleration down to 1000 mm/s^2. Ironing flow down to 20%, ironing speed stays at 50 mm/s.
My top surfaces look close to perfect on a variety of parts. I’m finally happy with the end prints.
