Is bambulab studio accepting my filament settings?

i am not sure if bambulab studio is accepting my fillament settings. for one thing, i specifically name my filament in the profile settings in the prepare tab, but in the device tab it says generic PLA in the ams material settings– is that normal? because i was suspicious when i saw the printer printing at 220 when i set the max temp to 210. i thought it was a syncing issue, but when i sync, it automatically switches to a another profile. i am completely lost, can anyone help

After you create a local custom profile, are you hitting synchronize to send it to the printer?

Then hit edit in your material screen on the printer and select the material.

Assuming you’re doing that all properly, you can analyze your gcode after slicing, that will allow you to know exactly what the printer is being told. Use a strange temperature - something like 222 in your custom material profile and you’ll easily be able to search for it and know it didn’t come from anyone but you.
