I bought the Engineering plate for my H2C because at the time it was the only smooth option for anything besides PLA/PETG (for which I had/have the SuperTack plate). It really works fine and is pretty smooth, but requires glue for everything (I use glue stick). The Glacier has become my default go-to smooth plate for most materials. I do also have a DarkMoon CF plate which is typically (especially) good with nylons, but don’t use it often. And their Satin plate… because I’ll try “anything” before resorting to glue… ![]()
OTOH, I did pull out the Engineering plate for something high temperature fairly recently… forget what now (a flat thin piece in PAHT-CF maybe), but anyway after it warped the first time on another plate I didn’t feel like screwing around anymore and dropped some glue stick on the Eng. plate, et voilà. So is it “worth” having in the quiver? Personal choice. For me it has worked as advertised.
Cheers,
