Is it ok to flip the buildplate if there is glue on both sides?

Was just wondering if there was any reason you shouldn’t flip the build plate if there was glue stick applied to the side you was flipping e.g. I have been using the cool plate with glue and want to use the engineer plate. Do I need to clean it of before flipping?

By my opinion yes , otherwise it will get messy

Probably possible but it’s really easy to remove the glue, so i would really suggest to clean the plate before flipping it.

To remove the glue : just put it under the water (with a cold continuous flow) and gently wipe the glue with your fingers as the water flows over, that’s all !
I would suggest to not use “hot water” as it may tend to generate bubbles under the sticker.

I almost always… mean to clean off the glue. But I haven’t been, and so far no problems.

It’s weird getting sticky hands when handling the sheet after a print. I feel I’ll wipe off the heated surface if I ever see build up, but it’s a bridge I’ve yet to come to in a month or two of not washing my plate.

Thanks everyone for the replies, really appreciate the help
