Is It Possible To Adjust The Z Offset On The X1 Carbon?

When I first got my X1C Combo my first layers were perfect, however, lately I have noticed that in some areas of the first layers I can see layer lines, considering I use the effect build plates quite regularly I need the first layer to be perfect and with a glass-like surface.
Is anyone aware of how the z offset can be changed? I am thinking along the lines of the start G code although I don’t know which command it will be, I am more used to Marlin flavour G-Code.

The whole point of Bambu’s technology is that Z-Axis calibration is unnecessary. In fact, you can say that this is part of their secret sauce.

Here is the Maintenance Wiki which does a thorough job of explaining how to maintain the lead screws.

The thing you want to pay particular attention to is the z-axis lead screws, ensuring they are cleaned and lubricated. It’s better to use too little lubricant than too much. I know that may sound counterintuitive, but too much lubricant—especially the wrong kind—can act as a dust magnet and make things worse. If you have too little lube, you will hear a squeaking noise and that is much easier fix than too much lube which if it gets on the belts, can cause other problems.

Be careful not to go down the rabbit hole you’ll find here and elsewhere on the Internet, with endless debates like “I found the penultimate lube” or “My lube is better than yours” in countless threads. Any PTFE-based lubricant is fine.

If you don’t have lube in your kit, then here is a search term on Amazon.

As stated, any PTFE lube will do but this particular brand is the cheapest and has been tested by many folks.

They also make it in other dispensable packages. However, beware of snake-oil sales pitches from many manufacturers. If it has PTFE, it’s good to go.

I use a white lithium grease that I have used for years on all of my printers, I clean off all the old grease before applying new, I don’t think this is the issue though.
I didn’t think I would ever have to make adjustments to the z-offset and yet here I am needing it, a slight difference in nozzle manufacture size would make a difference, however, I would expect the system to make an adjustment for this.
It is only a little of the layer lines that show in 3 or 4 places but it makes signs look ugly, I will also try my original nozzles and see if that makes any difference.

Yeah, I knew there was a way to get more squish as the textured PEI sheet seems to have more squish, I ma away from home at the moment and so cant test it out, as soon as I return I will test it out and let you know how it went.
Thanks!

As others have mentioned, slowing down the first layer can help. When i do cosmetic items I always slow down first layer infill speed. I also have the z-offset modified on textured plates. Here is a guide how to do it in printer G-code:

Thanks, I thought it could be done with the start g-code.
