Is it possible to make changes while printing?

Let’s say we noticed a situation that we wanted to correct or add while a model was in print. Is it possible to add the model we edited onto the model in print without canceling the print?

No, the g-code has already been sent to the printer. Cancel, modify, re-start.

Nope. Once sent to the printer, and the printer began printing, it’s either cancel or… cancel.

Thank you so much for information. :hugs:

This is NOT an answer, only additional information.

There is one ‘change’ you can make once the print has begun to alter what is printed.

If you have multiple items being printed and decide one or more of these are not required, you can remove them from the print.

This is commonly used when you have something on the build-plate that hasn’t printed exactly as you hoped and cancelling the entire job will waste the filament and time spent thus far.

You can pause the printer and tell it which items to no longer print. There are two ways to do this.

  • Using the Bambu Handy app, there is a skip button, choose this and you can select one or more models you no longer wish to continue printing.
  • If you have an X-series printer this can also be done on the printer’s display.

This will only work on models that have not been merged (previously known as assembled).
