I had residue on my nozzle as well.
No sticker on the plate either.
Scratches should be present anywhere where it matters though.
Guess it comes down to what happens when they test the machines.
See it that way: If NOT already used it might just be that they found some issue that required fixing.
As long as the carbon rods look fine and printer works as advertised there is nothing to worry.
Your warranty is not affected.
One thing about refurbs (and no idea if this is or isn’t) is they tend to get very thorough checks and likely are more ready for service than a new in box version that might be a dead infant.
On the scratches, I don’t have a feel for where you are showing but during manufacture there will be piles of pieces that get loaded up into fixtures to build frames and other parts. They can easily pick up scratches then. The key is if they are in places someone is likely to scratch when setting up or testing or whatever a new owner does. If they are more inaccessible it tends to indicate during manufacture and may not be an indicator of prior use.
Please note that all Bambu Lab 3D printers are tested for print quality before shipping. The nozzles are also tested, and in some cases, filament might be present from this test.
The protective sticker from the heatbed has been eliminated, to make the setup process easier for customers. This information is also present in the following Wiki guide: Unboxing A1 and A1 combo (new packaging) | Bambu Lab Wiki
For any other concerns, please open a ticket with our customer support team and they can provide additional information related to your specific printer, if required.
I had white PLA residue inside my hotend upon receipt. I assumed it had to do with the testing.
The only thing that looks out of norm to me is that hotend nozzle. It looks like it’s seen a battle or two, lol, if that was for their QA print they really should have cleaned it better.
Run a benchy. The “nozzle wiping” part of the startup will clean it off for you.
