I just ordered my H2D and its arriving in around 2-3 weeks, I wanted to hear from people that have gotten there H2D if it is any good. Cause im way to excited and love reading forums
Would be good to start reading this forum then. Plenty of topics already on the H2D.
Is The H2D Any Good?
Should you have done the research first?
There are teething troubles, but the good outweighs the bad, as I understand it.
like what?
and for me it’s perfect so far
Horrible, disaster, terrible…
I have no idea, still waiting for mine in the mail.
I am very happy with my purchases. I am excited to get in the HT so I can start printing the more exotic filament.
Received mine last week and nothing but issues.
AMS will not load filament at all.
Tickets filed and no response.
Seems like I read a bunch of other folks have issues with the AMS2.
Wish I had bought a Prusa XL
- Bed screws not screwed in causing deep gauge marks on the build plate.
- Bed adhesion issues due to a none-uniform heating element
- Reports of false door open warnings
- Shipping issues causing various degrees of damage due to the large size and the huge shipping costs not resulting in two person deliveries which is part of the cost justification
- Extruders failing to cut filament before continuing
- Errant requests to remove filament from the wrong nozzle
- 0.2 nozzle issues
To name just a few, there are more on the forums and YouTube review videos.
Only issues I’ve had:
The vent thing at the back: There’s some weird screw holder things attached to the back panel of the printer that had the actual threads and it seems to have shattered/stripped on three of the four holes, so only one of the screws is actually screwing in. It still seals OK since it’s been replaced with this and thicker sealing foam.
The AMS units being daisy chained: It’s very painful to set up, and having three on the left side and one on the right side of the printer (my current config) doesn’t work well because the cable is too short to go from the left AMS to the right AMS (which is then connected to the printer). I’d have preferred to either have 1.5x longer cables and 1.5x longer PTFE tubes or have four Bambu Bus inputs on the printer and allow for a mix of daisy chaining and direct connection. The PTFE tubes (even with the 4 in 1 adapter adding some length) are too short to have them all on my little shelf on the left side. The bottom-most AMS wouldn’t be able to get the PTFE tube all the way up to the printer. Longer tubes would solve this.
Other than those I think it’s amazing. So many sensors and improvements compared to even the A1 series, which I already thought was amazing.
i ! i don’t have any of theses issues!
Most are detailed here on the forum, search “H2D”.
The rest are in high profile YouTube videos.
Keep in mind I said teething troubles.
I didn’t say everyone experiences them.
