It looks suspiciously the same. It’s super cheap, and the refill rolls look exactly like what I get from Bambu, only without the RFID tag.
I’m not saying they are the same, but they’re definitely similar. And, the price is crazy low.
Does anyone have experience printing with the stuff? I’ve been happy with the Bambu price buying in bulk for the filament I print with, but wouldn’t mind an alternate source if it’s available. Especially if it’s cheaper and there’s more color options.
I’ve used Matter Hackers filament, never had an issue with it.
But I don’t think it’s Bambu…JMO
Do you use the Bambu presets with it? Generic? Did you tune a profile?
I added it to my PLA profile.
I didn’t change much from the generic profile, just the hotend & bed temps.
I think the generic profile prints too hot…JMO
But, that covers pretty much all generic PLA.
I have separated my profiles for PLA, PLA+ Silk (Marble).
Too hot makes sense. They’re probably trying to compensate for the higher speeds.
Thanks a ton for the info. I might grab a couple of spools to try out. Do you know if the refills fit the Bambu spools?
Their website say’s they do fit Bambu Spools.
I have been using MH Build PLA filament for a couple of years now and always have had good results. I use the generic profile with no additional tweaks. I do not think it is the same manufacturer as Bambu though.
