Hi friends…
I am just looking for some advice from you, knowing that you are smarter and more experienced than myself in this case
Getting points cash redeemed actually means having at least 1516 points (if i am not wrong) and that’s what it permits to redeem 100$ cash.
Considering that I live in Europe and the change from dollars to euros isn’t an advantage for us, I’d obtain a transfert of about 95 euros and, if I am not wrong, there would be some transfert fees to pay….
The EU store does exchange 524 points for 40 euros card gifts.
3 of them means 1572 points, giving a total of 120 euros: 25 euros (about 30$) more than the cash redeem for just 60 points of difference.
I know well that cards are only exchangeable in bambulab website and cash is far more versatile but, your advice, wouldn’t it be too much a loose for us ?
What do you think about ? I am waiting your advice before proceeding for a points exchange (considering that bambulab is announcing news in a next future…)
Points to USD exchange rate is less favourable than Points to GiftCards and on top of that only exclusive points can be converted to USD. The only upside is getting a cash that you can spend outside of Bambu Store.
As for announcements of future updates such as new build plates, AMS-compatible TPU and far in future (Q1-2 2025) X2… It’s up to you to decide whether to keep gathering your giftcards or getting usable cash
Here, I’m gonna share with you secret knowledge, you can write: short post - all those 'small’s count toward limit, but don’t get shown… jsut don’t add anything else below because it’ll be really really tiny or you can close those tags like I just did: really really tiny
I WAS planning on hoarding the giftcards but… “Free” P1S Combo was screaming in my ear. Next one will be “free” or “really cheap” A1 Mini because I backed Dill’s A1 Mini automation and I would love to automate my christmast printing…
I’m not a big fan of the exclusive program and therefore the cash option, but I get the appeal. I have enough printers and filament (for now), but the points keep slowly trickling in, even without that much models. I got an A1 combo just to see what all the fuzz was about and even more filament, but at one point cash is better than even more filament, even if the “value” is lower. Keep in mind that a spool of filament is let’s say 30 moneys for us, but most likely it costs bambu 20. So although you get “less” for your points, cash must likely costs bambu more to hand out.
I LOVE the redeem cash option. My recommendation is to first redeem gift cards to purchase everything you need on Bambu lab that will last you a while, then convert to redeeming cash.
I personally had bought a second printer with my points as well as ~6 month supply of filaments. Now I plan to use the cash option until I run out of supplies (or become crazy enough that I think I need a third printer).
That’s crazy! Who would need a 4th printer anyway? 5 printers is totally enough. 6 printers is not too many, that way you can have each tuned for different setup! I swear, that 7th printer is the last one, I need it for the other workshop…
The cash option is only for “exclusive” points anyway and normal points do accumulate and if you’ve got mix and match of exclusive and non-exclusive it’s getting complicated.
