Is there a way to add a negative search word?

It may be that you find that inappropriate, but it’s not legally relevant - not even in Germany. That might sound harsh, and I really understand where you’re coming from, but this is your personal problem.

Personal feelings can’t be regulated on MakerWorld.

The VW Car Eagle in your photo collage is suspicious. I recognise this from world war 2 military history. I don’t understand the full context of how it’s used and exactly why, but it’s something I would check if I was required to. It’s not the same as the current German eagle.

Then again, it’s the German government’s job to do something about it if they wish to. They can fine Makerworld (Bambu has a site in Germany I believe) or ban the site from the country etc etc if they wish to.,

Correct. And if that was started we would end up in a censorship hellscape.

But. To add one last thing to it.

Hate Speech and Harassment

How many of these rules does a depiction of the crest only used by the NSDAP (german N AZ I party) during the Thrid Reich violate? Is it just hate speech? Is it glorification of a terrorist or extremist group? Maybe glorification of the death of six million jews?

It may be legal in many countries.. but surely not ok.. except you find a single legitimate reason to own these things besides any kind of glorification.

Like i said: Thats it for me in this topic.

It is the “Parteiadler” of the n az i party just without the Swas tika but with the VW logo. The “horizontal” eagle was only used by that party during the thrid Reich. There is virtually no depiction of it during other times and today unfortunately a legal chiffre for neofascists.

As far as i know they cant. It is not like copyright infringement which can lead to serious fines.

the green party in germany wanted to cancel a concert from roger waters because they believe he is a racist!?..??? germany is realy in a hard time right now… at least for 10 years now… hm…?

but thats another topic… it has nothing to do with 3d printing… i hope…? but im not sure…??

please…!!! can just everybody simply agree to my category solution idea for makerworld!?..??

this would be very nice!!

and for that i realy promise you that i will never ever travel to germany…! just out of savety reasons! : )

no joke!

That’s exactly the right answer. :+1:

All that may be true, but it’s still not your job to take historical statements out of context - keep in mind what Eponymous wrote. It’s legal on MakerWorld. Incidentally, I’m from Germany and am very familiar with the legal situation.

Unfortunately, you’re mixing legal topics and personal feelings up.

Believe me, you’re not the first German to find that inappropriate and posted about it on the forum. On the other hand, Americans find a lot of what we Germans post inappropriate, but it’s all within the bounds of the law. Similarly, Chinese find a lot of what we post to be distasteful.

However, the content is not filtered for bad taste, but simply based on Chinese laws. You might think that sucks, but there’s nothing you can do about it.

Symbols depend on context. If it is a historical model for military history, it’s very different from a political comic.

By the way you should understand that many in Asia have the same problem you have, but with Imperial Japan (ww2 japan). Now consider they never changed their logos, and they venerate their war heros, and they still make videos like “Space Battleship Yamato”. and fly the Rising Sun flag. But they are aware of this; the Japanese embassy (edit a few years ago) brought Ultraman to Singapore instead of Yamato.

At what point did i say anything of it was illegal here? I argued on base of the community guidelines, did I?

But i got the point.

There is no moderation of content.. except doing the worst thing: uploading Pu der Bär on a chinese platform

I just wish that at the very least that users could be removed from the results - and blocking them seems not to work at all.

Have a nice evening. I think i get back into not talking on the boards anymore.

Exactly, you reported it to MakerWorld - I already get that - and MakerWorld rejected your arguments. So now what? Now you’re complaining here on the forum about something you can’t change. Of course you can do that - no question about it.

…and to get back to the topic at hand: A search bar is a tool, but it doesn’t capture what you find disturbing. Since you’ve apparently interacted with the content very frequently, the system thinks you want to see it.

Let me repeat: You can set that yourself. Check your profile again to see if the user is listed / blocked. If it doesn’t work, report it as a bug - that’s not how it’s supposed to work. :+1:

Don’t let that discourage you - your opinion is just as valuable as anyone else’s - but you’ll see that on a global platform, and especially one run by China, things work quite differently, and you can’t expect the German legal system nor what Germans find distasteful to apply on MakerWorld.

Many would actually agree with you on the merits of the matter, but the issue here is the search function and the tag system. To be precise, people like that who take advantage of wrong tags.

this is exactly how the death internet would look like… : )
