I was wanting to purchase a gift card as a gift for someone for the holidays… but it seems that is not possible? Sort of strange that they don’t offer gift cards for purchase when they have the purchasable with points.
Additionally, they have been thoroughly checked since last week. There is no guarantee that you will get these cards until Bambulab has thoroughly screened you.
Daniel, this is a different issue - Here @Just_say_no_to_poop wants to purchase actual giftcard for somebody else to use in bambu store. Not use his own points to get a voucher.
Actually - that’s a good idea as a present: if you know somebody likes 3d printing, then a pre-paid gift card is quite good idea! Even if they don’t have bambu printer, Bambu’s filament is very nice.
One way of doing it is giving one of your own coupons. Make a 3d print of a card with the code on one side and a message on the other. It’s easier than waiting for them to add “gift cards” and it only costs you some points
Yes, I understand now too. I also think it’s a great idea for a Christmas gift. So there is another path to getting gift cards?
I’ve got a few spares, I’ll sell a $40 US giftcard for $50. DM me to complete your purchase.
(this is sarcasm, I don't actually want to scam you)
strange though isn’t it? You would think they would sell giftcards as it’s easy money and a nice profit margin since a fair number never get used. Oh well!
Yeah, this is disappointing. I was hoping to get my first 3d printer this year, the people who would give the gift card insist on giving something other than cash. Was trying to find if I could get a Bambu Labs card to offset the upfront cost of getting one, but looks like I’ll have to go with the competitor if I want to get a printer.
Ya that doesn’t sounds sketchy at all… Enjoy your competitor brand of printer.
It’s not. It’s my inlaws. They refuse to give cash and always have, very frustratingly as the kind of stuff I want is out of the price range for their gift giving, and always has been. I’ve bypassed this by usually getting gift cards. They want someone to have something to “open”, what the difference is between cash and a gift card is, but they’re generous so I’m not going to argue that point.
Creality sells gift cards and I have to get my list in today and it’s the only one on there.
Don’t understand why it’s so hard to sell gift cards, but I gotta do what I gotta do.
Why would anyone buy that when they can get the same $40 giftcard for $45 from me?
Kidding aside, I think it’s a good idea to have giftcards for purchase. But the need may not be big enough to be a priority to have it set up soon.
People have asked for some merch such as t-shirts and hats and they haven’t gotten to that request yet.
Hey if I was them I’d spend a few minutes (it’s not hard to set up gift cards, and they just have to make them available on the store) on Shopify to get a couple extra sales.
You can “open” eight rolls of filament
They can put a piece of cardboard in there that says “Bambu $50” or whatever and then they can hand you cash for it. It would come with the condition that you may only spend it at Bambu.
