do anyone knows any good website or app where i could upload an image and create an stl file out of it? I try to design hex tiles for wargames, i got the plane surface tile and want to put some wreckage details on it. I thought maybe i could use some images of wrecked objectives and “transform” them into stl files and attach them to my surface…
Have you tried the “Image to 3D” on Makerlab?
https://convertio.co/ does a good job converting images to .stl. It’s free but you’re limited to 10 downloads/ day. Best to first clean up your image file in a graphics program ie remove noise and make it black & white.
Thank you guys, it doesn’t work as i hoped. I thought about designen my own stl files, but honestly…i can’t imagine how people are doing this. I know there are some good CAD programms like Tinkercad, but is there any “fast” way to create or use images for designing?
