Is there way to change nozzle in a single print?

I have a model that has fine detail only on the top surface that requires the .2mm nozzle. The rest of the object has no detail and could be printed with the .6mm nozzle.

If I use the 2mm, the job takes 10 hours. I know i could reduce that drastically if I could print the lower part with the large nozzle, and just the top layer with .2mm. Is there a way to do that?

Update: Interestingly, I just discovered that if I split the object into 2 separate bodies, the top slice and the base, still using the 0.2mm nozzle throughout, I reduce the print time to under 2 hours. I’m not sure why there is so much savings there. Still, I wonder if my original question is possible.

The short answer is - no.

The nozzle type is part of the printer configuration used for the entire model including all plates.

You can change the material flowing from the nozzle at different heights and even for separate models on the same plate, but not the actual nozzle.

The only way to get close to your needs is to design the solution into the model.

It means splitting the model into parts and printing them according to the nozzle size. That would require joining the parts together after everything has been printed.

I doubt this is ideal though as it sounds like you would have thought of this before given what I believe to be your technical knowledge.
