Is this acceptable to put any paypal into the description

Hello
We can see some makers adding the paypal account into the model description… Is this accepted or border-line ?

Can’t answer that based on the rule books for this site.
But IMHO things quickly turn ugly once people can have quick and easy ways to make money or to get benefits.
Personally I think it is only fair if a creator asks for some money if the model ig great and/or took a lot of work and creativity to come up with.
But I also think that user based sites like Makerworld should be free of paid models or at least have them in a separate section that one can exclude from the search.

No, I am against paid models.
Just think that with the right structure and concept fraud can be handled much better and users get the right choices.
I saw in many other plces how going with paid models ruined a lot for the entire site.
Not just the flood of sub standard models costing far too much but also the issue or stolen or quickly modified files.
Bambu is based on volumes, on quantity, not on quality as the default.
It IS the best to fill a site and to ensure it gets and stays popular.
But mixed with incentives then mixed with pay only models needs a bit more - IMHO.
I paid a creator $25US for a clock model and really did not mind because it was not just the mechanical parts that were great but also all tolerances matched and the parts were designed with good looks in mind as well.
Worked first time and out of the box so to say.
So paying or asking to get money before someone can download good things is acceptable if the price matches.

If a site allows paid models than they should either provide the same options and payment methods for all and also handle it OR leave it completely to the creator.
The former is better as it keeps the site in in control and for violations they can get active, while the later means the creator has to chace up and fraudsters.

Have you ever run for office??

Thought about it…
But then I realised my boss won’t pay me a single cent more if I rush into my office after the bear or when the phone rings.
So, I now only use a normal walking pace…
Too old to run anyway…

If you want pay per download, you should choose a different platform (plenty out there allowing makers to charge for their models, usually for a commission). Here (Makerworld) you share for free…well, not exactly for free, as the more downloads you get the more incentives Makerworld/Bambu might offer you to continue sharing. They also offer the option to share exclusively via Makerworld (meaning you can’t use the same model on other platforms), but not being involved that much into Makerworld stuff, I’ll leave it to other members (more knowledgeable) to clarify this for you.

Thanks, hope a staff / admin member will give answer.
I don’t want to pay per download, or not giving free models, i share some of them. Question was about the paypal link some user add in the description. Free for the people who download to give a tips or not.
