Is this the best I can get with calibration on A1?

I’ve been trying my best to calibrate. I feel I could do better but reaching exhaustion

the calibration “0” is the best of the the 2nd fine Flow Rate Calibration pieces. They all seemed to have diagonals and subtle rough perimeter .

The test block is a print with default settings of the Bambu Lab Studio and Bambu LAB Matte PLA. The only change I made in the settings was to reduce the line width of the first layer to .40 from .50mm…

Is there anything obvious that I should be paying attention to for tweaking some more ?. The dimensional accuracy of the 60mm block came in at 59.5mm.

Just looking at the smaller print, it looks like you might be over extruding a little? Someone else can check this for me. But that might be one, if not only, issue that I’m seeing. Over extrusion of the material can lead to dimensional inaccuracy as the filament has to go somewhere.

You should only check the middle of the calibration prints when doing the Flow Rate calibration. The rough edges are adjusted using the flow dynamics calibration once your flow rate is set. Judging by your picture, your flow rate is a little low.
Keep in mind that it will not get perfectly smooth due to how the printer works, but you should be able to achieve a somewhat smooth finish.

Regarding the dimensional accuracy, there is nothing automated that you can use. That will be a bit of back and forth as it might change from model to model.

Is that the top or bottom layer I’m looking at? If it’s the bottom there is something wrong you should be seeing the pattern off the headbed sheet. That might indicate your print head is not at the correct height, hence not enough squish. Also make sure your using the correct setting in Bambu Lab Studio for the type of surface. Something looks completely off.

Hi Mark…it’s the top. Bottom is very nice.
