Hello everyone, I’m trying to print a part that it shape is a regular dodecahedronWikipedia. In all the edges I added a 2mm fillet. The problem I have is that the fist layer adhere perfectly but the next layers are not where they should and after 3 or 4 mm the part start to be as the model. Here you can find two images about it.
any idea on this? Ive been testing several ideas but none worked fine
What Bambustudio version are you using?
I have a problem with 2.0 version, downgrade work for me.
Ok I’m not exactly sure what the problem is you are having. What adhesion problems do you have? The photo doesn’t really show me adhesion problems but I can see something that could resemble what is called a hull line.
Generally a bottom radius fillet is not recommended as this could result in overhang situations at the bottom few layers, instead a combination of chamfer with radius is recommended.
e.g.
I’m using Bambu 1.9… yesterday I updated to 2 and it’s even worse.
I’m not having any adhesion issue. Maybe the issue is with the 2mm fillet that the printer is not able to do it properly. I’ll try that approach and I’ll let you know. Thanks for your hints and suggestions!
Finally I found a solution. But I don’t know what it was happening. I realised that the step and the difference was exactly at the same height at the top internal layer was. Also if you look closer to the long and narrow part, at the end of it there is an overhang more inclined than the fillet perfectly printed. So with those clues I decide to do this:
Solution: I added an internal fillet of 20mm. Attached you can find two pictures, one the result and also where I place the fillet.
I can’t add currently the pictures, I’ll try later
